Stacy grew up in Cypress, Texas, and has deep roots in the community. She holds both a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Sam Houston State University. During graduate school, Stacy taught Introduction to Psychology at the university and completed an internship at Gulf Pines Psychiatric Hospital.
Stacy is a Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP) and a Licensed Psychological Associate (LPA). She began her career as an LSSP in Spring ISD, providing support and assessment for students with various emotional disturbances and those diagnosed with autism. Stacy worked with adolescents, their teachers, school staff, and parents to address emotional, social, academic, and behavioral issues. This included psychological evaluations, consultations with outside professionals, counseling, implementing behavior management techniques, and formulating educational plans and goals. Stacy also served on the district crisis response team.
Stacy stepped away from public education after a decade to focus on raising her two children, during which time she served as co-teacher for her children who attend a university-model school, guiding them on homeschool days. She had an active role in Wildwood Christian Academy and served on the School Board for two years. Stacy is a devoted wife to her husband, Richard, of over 20 years, and she works as Marketing Director for Grimes & Fertitta Law Firm.
